I am interested in the culture of photography; its everyday uses, charms and failures. I recover and capitalise on the potency of the images that surround us, ‘raiding’ the eternal image archive of the internet and screen, and the long-forgotten imagery printed in books and ephemera.  Recently I have been drawn to vernacular archives – transparencies, negatives and prints – as a source to inform new work engaging with the possibililities of other people’s photographs taken long ago and far away.
