Redacted

To redact a text is to modify it; to obliterate or remove significant information. Images culled from a variety of print sources are partially deleted; details and identifying data are removed to create a document which no longer indicates an exterior referent and which closes down meaning save for the collision of visual elements left behind. From a point of self-referential ‘innocence’ these photographic elements are combined to create unexpected and complex visual forms through which potential narrative connections arise.
